Convene a meeting of all international student homeroom teachers

In order to further consolidate the foundation of education and management for international students in the new semester, and ensure the orderly and efficient promotion of the cultivation, service, and management of international students, on the afternoon of September 24th, the International Education College held a meeting for all international student homeroom teachers at 414 Mingde Building.


The meeting affirmed the achievements of the overseas student homeroom teacher and retention management team in enrollment, daily management, safety assurance, and other work in the previous semester. At the same time, it sorted out the problems of difficult learning adaptation, large differences in living habits, and weak discipline awareness among some international students. In response to these issues, the homeroom teachers of the 23rd and 24th grade international students exchanged and discussed work cases, shared experience and ideas, and drew on excellent practices. They stated that in the future, they will optimize management methods and improve service quality based on the characteristics of their class students, in order to create a high-quality learning and living environment for international students.


The meeting mainly focuses on key tasks such as relocating international student dormitories, welcoming international students, and organizing education, and puts forward clear requirements for the work of international student homeroom teachers in the new semester. The meeting emphasized that the safety of international students is the bottom line project for the internationalization of schools, and its red line status cannot be crossed. As a key force in managing international students, the homeroom teacher should fulfill their duties effectively, closely monitor students' ideological dynamics on a regular basis, care about their physical and mental health, and accurately grasp cognitive changes and travel trajectories; We should actively strengthen the collaborative linkage with counselors and international student management professional teams, improve information sharing and rapid response mechanisms, and form an efficient working force.
